What maximum capacity tells you
Maximum Capacity appears in Settings under Battery and Battery Health & Charging. It compares the battery's estimated current capacity with its capacity when new. It is useful, but it is not a complete prediction of how many hours the phone will last.
A larger iPhone with a lower percentage can still last longer than a smaller model with a higher percentage because the original battery sizes differ. Network signal, screen brightness, camera use, gaming, temperature and background activity also change daily endurance.
